The downloadable demo does not include the setup process that comes on the CD. This was done to reduce the time it takes to download the demo. For that reason, there are a few steps that need to be done when installing the demo:
1) Run the program you've downloaded. You'll be asked to specify where you would like the program to be installed. For example, you may choose to install the program in C:\EPIC
2) In that directory, you'll then find a program called StorageServer.EXE. Run this program first. This step is required only the first time; therafter the server program will launch automatically when you start up Epic.
3) Run the program titled Epic.EXE.
